GMO – The label has started its activities in the recorded music area in late spring 2012. Physical as well as non-physical distribution, download and streaming platforms will enable musicians, publishers and record labels around the globe to introduce their respective musical activities to bigger audiences. Highlighted will be music from all corners of the earth which reflects the cultural identity of its country, religion, ethnical heritage and musical origin. Musicians from everywhere will be challenged to share their music and their recording process online with fellow musicians from different corners in the world.

GMO – The Label divides itself into three subdivisions

GMO cultural, which handles the activities (live and recordings) of the GlobalMusicOrchestra as well as all kinds of collaborations.
GMO global, which deals with the recordings and distribution of artists and partner labels (mainly but not exclusively from Asia, Africa, South America, Eastern Europe)
GMO local, which tries to find and develop local talent as well as work with non-mainstream local artists and recordings based on the musical tradition of our hometown Cologne
